Upper West Side, New York City

ERA

Scroll

A boundary-pushing new building amid the classic brownstones of the Upper West Side, Era was set to herald in a new chapter of daring architecture.

Unfortunately, the neighborhood wasn’t ready to make such big changes (gasp—a cantilever!) and the project dealt with bad press, slow sales, and an eventual name-change and takeover by Serhant Real Estate of Million Dollar Listing fame.

Regardless of the less-than-favorable outcome, I stand by what we did for this building. I was responsible for the name, photoshoot concepts, and copy for the website and brochure.

The work you see here was completed at Allis Studio in NYC, with Kile Brekke doing the heavy lifting visually.
